Ascot Racecourse Supports Sensory Room Maiden Hurdle
Ballyfin 1pt win only 12/1 – Weakened late on when making his hurdles debut over CD back in November and has not been seen since. Should be open to plenty of improvement for that experience and I rather suspect that connections have been waiting for these dryer conditions. Debut race has worked out pretty well since and looks to be a good form line to follow, more so than most of his rivals here.

Ascot Racecourse Supports Achieving For Children Handicap Chase
Jacks Touch 1pt win only 12/1 – Faces a much stiffer task than for her three chase wins this season which have all come in races against the same sex. Has improved markedly since the switch to the bigger obstacles this term however and I don’t think she is done yet. Her win over Terresita who she finished a head of again last time out looks to be a pretty strong form line that could have this very lightly raced 9 year old sitting on a good mark with potential improvement on the cards too.

Events At Ascot Juvenile Handicap Hurdle
Palio 1pt win only 10/1 – Fair on the flat and has placed twice from 3 starts since being sent hurdling. Will need to show more here today but will appreciate the drying conditions here unlike a few of his closely matched rivals. Finished 9 lengths behind Royal Way when last seen but matches up today 8lb better off at the weights, that coupled with the conditions could well force a reversal of that form. Could find improvement here today too.

Has been freshened up before coming here today and that is certainly a trick that seems to have worked previously. Will relish todays conditions and this is generally this ones time of year.

Hurricane Harvey 0.5pt EW 18/1 – Well beaten on his last two outings but put in a decent run to finish 4th at Newbury in December. That run came from a 6lb higher mark than todays meaning that on a going day this one is fairly treated. The form of his more recent races when he has been soundly beaten looks pretty strong and this one could fair better in todays company. Yard have them in good order with 6 winners from their last 25 runners and have a fair strike of around 15% sending them here and they send just this one today.
