Cloudy Breeze 1pt win only 16/1 – Showed promise as a 2 year old but failed to back that up on large last season. Has a piece of form however at Windsor last year that makes her look pretty well treated here. Still lightly raced and returns from a break still open to plenty of improvement. this extended 5f trip looks ideal and despite never running on ground with any cut her breeding suggests it is where she will excel.

This slightly longer trip will be ideal and back to a sounder surface will do no harm either. Gets a nice 7lb taken off by yard regular Oliver Searle and looks set for a big run in a poor race.

Blue Hero 1pt win only 6/1 – 3 times CD winner who won a division of this race last year in what would be the first of 4 wins at the track last year. The latest of which came from a 7lb higher mark than this current one and was put right by a pipe opener last year as he has been again this. All 7 of his wins have come at the track over varying trips from 15 runs so has a near 50% strike at the track which is hard to ignore. The step back up in trip is a big plus too.

William Hill Extra Place Races Handicap
Vino Victrix 1pt win only 8/1 – His second in the Cesarewitch back in 2022 is by far the best form in this line up but couldn’t quite match up to that form last term. Because of that he now finds himself back on a workable mark and his 3rd when last seen at Kempton would also be good enough to get involved here. Won’t want too much give under foot so the forecast dry conditions is a plus and will need to be ready after 225 days off the track but his yard are going well and he has the help of Oisin Murphy in the saddle.

Lihou 1pt win only 12/1 – Has plenty to prove and has been plummeting down the weights as a result of some lesser performances. That said he has not been beaten far all winter and last years runner up now sits 13lb lower than when contesting this race last year. Admittedly his best days could be behind him but this mark looks a steal on his form at this track last term.
