Mokaatil 1pt win only 11/2 – Probably not the force of old but won from this mark back in Feb at Wolverhampton and has gone close since then showing that there is still ability there to work with. Never got into the race last time out switched back to turf but is worth another try here. His stats are doubly as good on turf as they are on the AW and this time last year he was running in class 2/3 events from a 20+ lb higher mark. Could be very well in here. Saffie Osbourne takes the ride and she has a 27% strike and a LSP of +26 in the last 12 months for the yard. Saffie also has a 22% strike rate at the track with a +24 LSP so she clearly rides the track well.

Lucidity 0.5pt EW 20/1 (4 places B365) – Would not have wanted the heavy ground last time out and his other run this season at Chelmsford would not have been a first choice either. Should fair better now back on a sounder surface and finished 2nd over CD last term from 6lb higher. Yard are going very well at present with 7 winners in the last 14 days from 29 runners for a 24% strike. Still lightly raced and gets conditions to suit tomorrow for in form yard, lots to like despite being the outsider of the field.

Fierce 1pt win only 8/1 – Has it all to do from stall 10 here but will no doubt have come on for his recent reappearance and is sitting on a very competitive looking mark some 2lb below his last win. Untried over this slightly longer trip but breeding suggests it could bring out a little more and he has certainly done some of his best work in the final furlong. Has a couple of strong looking pieces of form that suggest he could be well ahead of this current mark with the right conditions.

Has not troubled the judge in 5 runs since but will be open to some improvement on this belated return to action now encountering good ground for the first time since that win. Fingers crossed the yard have him ready to roll and the rain stays away.
