Relentless Voyager 1pt win only 8/1 – Put in a very pleasing run on his reappearance from almost a year off the track and should come here fitter for that run. Still very lightly raced and could potential pick up a Group race at some point. Has some of the strongest form in the book when compared to his rivals and has to be respected in this company.

Russet Gold 1pt win only 13/2 – Has a very nice piece of form in the book at the Shergar Cup meeting last year that would put him well ahead of the handicapper here. Failed to follow that up however so a little is still taken on chance. The drying ground will play to this his favour and with the benefit of a recent reappearance he could well kick on. Reappearance was a pleasing one but he did look in need of that run so it could be marked up.

Onthebunny 0.5pt EW 100/1 (4 places B365) – Has failed to beat a rival in 3 starts for this new yard following a 501 day lay off so is very hard to fancy on paper. Has been slowly away on last two starts and hung right more than once previously. Just a couple of things could eek out more today, the switch to this sharp right handed track, the very talented 5lb claim of Tommie Jakes and a little give under foot. That and this ones fitness must be on the improve and its hard to imagine that this one on past form couldn’t outrun these odds from effectively a mark of 41 today. Weak race and improvement will be on the cards at some point.

Tactical 0.5pt EW 25/1 (4 places B365) – Has some very smart form in the book for his previous connections, including a Listed handicap win from a mark of 107 when running in the royal colours. Has failed to reach those heights since including in his 6 runs for his new yard. As a result he now runs from a mark of 87 and is able to drop into class 3 company for the very first time. Looks the second string for the yard on jockey bookings but this one for me holds most potential now sent back up in trip and visored for the first time. Will no doubt come on for his recent reappearance run too and has appreciated having a run under his belt previously.

Flopped next time out but is of more interest again today, dropped back to 5f with a little bit of juice in the ground. Has won over CD previously and has eased even further in the weights than for that pleasing run at Ascot.
