Unitary Engineering Handicap

Second Collection 0.5pt EW 20/1 (4 places b365) – Didn’t offer too much encouragement last time out but would be entitled to come on for that reappearance and on the best of last years form is very well treated. Wont want it to get too soft so hopefully most of the rain forecast misses and doesn’t get into the ground last win on turf was almost 2 years ago but did come from a 15lb higher mark and gets a massive 7lb taken off here too by the talented Jack Doughty. Race doesn’t look too deep and with the yard amongst the winners it wouldn’t be too big a surprise if this one bounces back.

Precision Facades Handicap

Wind Your Neck In 1pt win only 10/1 – Was doing his best work late on when stepped up to tackle 12f for the first time in testing conditions at Newmarket back in November and could have more to offer still now stepped up in trip again. Enjoys a bit of give under foot so will be hoping that the rain comes in time. Still fairly lightly raced and completely unexposed over this new trip. Richard Kingscote does well for these connections and boasts a 23% strike rate in their colours with an impressive LSP of +33.

Edinburgh Gin Classic Handicap

Hyperfocus 0.5pt EW 50/1 (4 places b365) – Well down the field in both starts this term but despite his age, he remains a very well handicapped horse on form as recent as this time last year. Places twice here last term from marks of 95 + 91 and will go here from a mark of 82. Needs to bounce back and may have lost a yard but would be very foolish to write off at a very generous price. Was still going well as recently as October and takes a big drop in class here. From 7 runs in Class 4 company he has won 3 times and placed on 3 other occasions.

Jewel Of Wine – La Joya Gran Reserva Handicap

Flight Of Angels 1pt win only 7/1 – Another who needs to get back on track but has been found a good opportunity here in what looks a weak race. As a result of 3 below par runs this term he has fallen down the weights and sits 8lb below his last winning mark which came in June last year. K Stott takes over in the saddle for the in form yard and he is 4 wins and 3 placed from 18 for the yard in the last 12 months for a 22% strike with an LSP of +17.
