Sir Tivo 0.5pt EW 40 /1 (4 places B365) – There are a few in here starting to look well handicapped including the Dan Skelton trained Frere D’Armes and the veteran of the group Cracking Destiny but they may just have more questions to answer than the selection. The Skelton horse is the class horse in the race but has been very difficult to get to grips with over the last 12 months and comes here having had a wind op and wearing first time blinkers. Both of which could put him right today but equally there is plenty of risk attached. The selection is now back on his last winning mark and offers more security at the prices and with 4 places available. He went very close here at this time last year over CD when narrowly denied by Al Zarqaan but they meet again today with the selection some 9lb better off at the weights. Excuses can be made for the last 2 runs and if back on song today should go close for a yard that have a near 30% strike rate at the track in the last 12 months.

Acquitted himself pretty well in some very decent company including in the Scottish National before disappointing on his latest run. Back up in trip today however and has fallen to a mark that is 4lb below his last winning one and with conditions looking ideal has few excuses and ought to go close in this company.

A couple of his runs from last season have him easily sitting around 10lb higher than the current mark and this lightly races 7 yo could still have scope for improvement too. Has been hooded and wears the tongue tie on return from the surgery so comes with obvious risks attached but on a going day he makes a mockery of this mark in this company.

Has a win off a mark of 92 and a couple of decent placed efforts from a mark of 98 last May. Has run with credit under less than ideal conditions in both starts for this yard and better can be expected with conditions now looking ideal. Goes well fresh so the time off the track should be no issue and runs from 85 today so is certainly weighted to do better.
