Streets Of Gold 0.5pt EW 33/1 (5 places B365) – Won all 5 of his starts as a 2 year old but has subsequently paid the price for that carrying a weight of burden ever since. Possibly still a tad high in the weights but has a very handy 7lb taken off today by a good claimer who does well for the yard. Has won on soft ground previously, has a draw down the middle so will have options either side and has to have a great chance from a mark that is effectively 8lb lower than when going well last time out in the Victoria Cup.

McGee Group British EBF October Stakes
Ornellaia 1pt win only 11/2 – Will have to overcome a year off the track having not been seen since dead heating for 3rd in the Group 1 Moyglare at the Curragh last year. The horse which finished alongside her that day has gone on to win no less than 4 Group 1’s since which puts that form line head and shoulders above anything else on show here. Does have questions to answer but arrives here with her new yard in blazing form and is definitely the one to beat on paper.

Berkshire Healthcare Charity Handicap
Cajetan 1pt win only 11/1 – A winner of two of his last 3 starts since being gelded but both wins came on the AW and over the slightly longer trip of 6f so there are a few questions to answer. Has also been off the track for 5 months all of which would normally be enough to deter me, however. He is far less exposed than many of these rivals and as a 3 year old he could well have improved further over the break. Last race of the day with drying conditions should ease any issues over the going and there is plenty in the breeding to overcome the drop in trip too. His run at Newmarket in between the two wins is more than enough to suggest that he is equally as good on turf given how that race has worked out since so when looking a little deeper this one looks to have plenty of value at these current odds.
