The best of his runs however have come when fresh from a break and when the ground is not too deep so if he is still in good order could well be absolutely thrown in on last couple of years reappearance runs.

Redbridge Rambler 1pt win only 9/2 – Progressive over hurdles last term but could only manage a well beaten 4th on reappearance when tackling the bigger obstacles for the first time. That run was over 2 miles however and in testing conditions and this one is bred for much further and will prefer the conditions here too. Its likely that Sean Bowen would have had the option on the James Owen horse too but instead opts for this one.

We’ll Havewan 0.5pt EW 16/1 (3 places B365) – Shaped quite promisingly over the bigger obstacles last term when runner up in a Grand National trial at Punchestown, before following that up with a decent 6th in the Irish National. Came to grief early doors in the Scottish version and has been seen to no decent effect in two races since. Looks to be on a decent mark for what looks a much easier race and has been freshened up by this new yard with a spin over hurdles. Jumping has been an issue but this new yard will no doubt put that right.
