Purest Time 0.5pt EW 66/1 – A very well bred purchase that has joined the yard from France and has plenty to prove for sure, least of all from stall 13. Has been doing the majority of his running over 5-6F which when you take just a quick glance at the breeding would suggest that this step up here looks a pretty obvious one. Has 3 wins to his name over in France and despite the wide draw here I’m pretty excited to see how this one goes over the trip here today. Joe Fanning on board which suggests they may try and go forward from the off, and this one could well sneak a place at massive odds. Yanifer 12/1 should go well too, loves it around here and looks set for a big run.

Betfred Supports Jack Berry House Reverence Handicap
Bosh 0.5pt EW 40/1 (5 places B365) – Bit below par on 3 outings so far this season but the same can be said for the yard in general, that poor run of form will not last too much longer I feel as they normally get going coming into June and this one has now fallen to a very attractive mark. Needs to find a revival but that could well be here today.

Betfred ‘Bet Builder’ Sankey Handicap
Jr Climbs 0.5pt EW 33/1 – Poor run on reappearance but has a couple of pieces of form last year that have stacked up well since. His 2nd at Newbury back in September sticks out most when only beaten a neck by a dual subsequent and now Listed winner. Steps up to the mile for the first time today and that looks on breeding to be a smart move. Has the potential to be well ahead of this mark if this shrewd yard have him ready here.

Dickieburd 0.5pt EW 20/1 (5 places B365) – Two lesser efforts since returning to action having switched yards over the Winter but they have not been without promise and this does rate a pretty marked drop in class. Placed over CD from 3lb higher back in September and the Jockey booking is a bonus too today in these colours.

Spirit Of Applause 0.5pt EW 25/1 – Tim Easterby has a pretty decent record in this race and despite only winning twice, he has sent out the runner up and a good few placed efforts in recent years. Today’s opposition rate a little better than those recently faced but has gone well in this grade on the AW and is worth a try from the bottom of the weights.

Has been bought for 35K and will likely still have plenty to offer but did not make the grade for such prestigious owners. David Allen is an interesting booking for the yard he is 5 wins and 9 placed from 30 runs for them which indicates that he placed on almost 50% of them and has a LSP of +30 so when they win they are not in single figures.
