He looks well weighted now having eased a couple of pounds and with the addition of the very talented 7lb claimer Jack Callan will not find many better opportunities to get his head in front and get off the mark than here today. Will appreciate the slight ease in ground here today and is very well bred and will no doubt operate above this level in the future.

Westgate Warrior 0.5pt EW 16/1 – Took a step forward on reappearance/yard debut last time out at Southwell and returns from a small break here stepped up markedly in trip for his handicap debut. The step up looks to be an absolute must on breeding and he should take a big step forward from what looks a fair opening mark for a yard that does very well here and has been in hot form of late.

Charency 1pt win only 11/2 – Reverts back to his preferred turf today sitting on a very attractive mark that is some 7lb lower than his last win which was only in July last year. Gets the cut in the ground that looks essential and may even prefer a little more and has a huge 5lb taken off by Ryan Kavanagh who has been doing very well for the yard over the last 12 months. Slight worry is the slightly longer trip but the breeding suggests that it could actually bring about some improvement too.

Has dropped back to that last winning mark now however and this is a big drop back in grade today which will hopefully see this one in a different light. He has arguably the best amateur on the circuit in the saddle who rides this track very well so is in good hands too.

Sparked a return to form last time out having been run over an inadequate trip previously and i would not be surprised if that has been done with this race in mind. Has run well on his 1 outing at the track and Richard Hughes is worth a follow at the track given his record here. Wahraan 28/1 rates a noteworthy outsider for the Osbournes too, down in grade and back to his last winning trip from just 2lb higher which also came on an AW circuit.

That run for this one came from this current mark and the return to the AW is a big positive too.
