A fairly weak renewal of this race and a pretty small field compared to recent years so many of the stats and trends go out of the window. Pretty low mileage for a six year old this selection and one thats probably not done improving just yet. Was pitched in a little deeper than this on return and did not disgrace so is well worth another try here in calmer waters with that run under the belt.

We were on this one a fortnight ago at 9/1 when he duly obliged over in an ordinary race for up and coming yard Joseph Parr. Following that comfortable win its interesting to see him pitch right in at the deep end here by the in form shrewdy just 14 days later. He owes us nothing following that run so a cheeky EW with 4 places available is tried.

Progressing well this term and was given a little too much to do after travelling smoothly into the race last time out behind Chamade. 5lb better off with that rival who holds a pretty strong formline here and with this ones yard coming into form since better can be expected here.

Having to give lumps of weight away all round here but could well still be too good for this company. Not been seen for almost a year but looks the sort to make up into a pretty classy 3 year old. Some of his 2 year old form is top draw and if ready to roll here should be able to defy the extra weight.

Turkestan 11/2 (705 Wolverhampton) will have needed last run after gelding operation and based on earlier form could go well from this mark if able to settle better.
