Modest maiden who has been out there gaining some experience. Best run to date came in very testing conditions, similar to what he will get here today and with that in mind we take a chance on one that has been given a fair chance by the handicapper to get involved at a very generous price.

Well bred horse going for a yard better known for their flat runners but looks to be one who is slowly getting to grips with his work. Probably has the pick of the form on offer judged by his latest run and doesn’t look harshly treated here on that evidence. Lightly raced but proggresing with each outing and ought to be able to play a hand in a race of this magnitude.

Seldom seen over these smaller obstacles in past couple of years but on a going day is just as effective over them. Last couple of runs have not shown him in his best light but he has been given a chance by the handicapper here in what looks a wide open race. A handy 5lb is taken off by Z Baker which puts this one on a mark that is impossible to ignore.

A decent reappearance effort when 3rd in not ideal conditions from a 2lb higher mark. Steps up in trip slightly which shouldn’t pose too many problems especially with the help of todays in form claim of 7lb from F Gillard. Still very lightly raced and already much improved from last season so a chance is taken at huge odds with an extra place available.
