Was a runaway winner from just a 3lb lower mark back in January for Dr Newland and that run came in similar conditions to today. Not been the same horse since joining David Pipe however and will need to bounce back from a couple of poor performances. Yard have hit a good run of form of late and a resurgence can not be ruled out at one of their favourite hunting grounds. Chance taken on an overpriced selection.

Coral Welsh Grand National Trial Handicap Chase

Put in a very pleasing run on yard debut running well for a long way in the Charlie Hall Chase. Was still going ok when coming to grief next time out and is worth another try here in the hands of local claimer Jack Tudor who takes off a very valuable 3lb. Jumping will need to improve but we are hopeful of a decent run.

Was running out of steam last time out when unseating following a 20 month lay off and a wind op. Should come on for that run with the yard in good nick and is well worth a try from this 3lb lower mark. Conditions to suit and should run his race today.
