Jack Bean 1pt win only 6/1 (535Bath)
A very typical handicap debutant stepping up in trip for Sir Mark Prescott. Fits the same bill as many of his past winners who have shown very little in 3 starts then put in a big run stepping up in trip on handicap debut. Has a break to overcome but this yard knows how to ready one. Well bred and comes here from a yard that have a 40% strike in the last 5 years at the track. Yards only runner on the card and the race does look like a competitive one so its no gimme.
Ebqaa 1pt win only 12/1 (705Bath)
Had shown improvement in both of his starts this term before taking a backwards step last time out. That run came over an inadequate trip and he is stepped straight back up here today. Has a change of headgear today and goes in the hands of Richard Kingscote which also looks to be a positive move.
Wild Flower 1pt win only 12/1 (735Bath)
Will be entitled to come on for his yard debut which came off the back of a 245 day lay off and won’t need to have come on too much here to get involved. Has been eased slightly in the weights and this switch of yards looks to have bought out a little extra from this 9 year old which could well be enough to see her with her head in front once more. Yard is in decent form and have a great record with their runners here of 25% win strike in the last 12 months. David Probert has around a 20% strike riding for them too so lots to like.
Toussarok 1pt win only 8/1 (515Kemp)
Interesting returning to the AW following a couple of lesser performances on turf. Had been running consistently well on the AW before that including a close run in second over this CD. Todays jockey is no mug on the Apprentice circuit and he has an excellent record for the yard with 3 wins and 3 placed efforts from 11 for a 27% win strike. Yards only runner on the card.
Storm Chaser 1pt win only 8/1 (615Kemp)
A good runner up on yard debut at Wolverhampton returning from a 278 day break and having a first run in the UK and also on an AW surface. Was staying on late in that race under pressure which suggests that he should come on for the run and also appreciate this step up in trip today. James Doyle retains the ride and there is much to like about this Mick Channon runner.
