#EpsomOaks day selections from #Epsom #Catterick #Doncaster #Huntingdon #Bath

The latest selections

Tuesday 1pt win only 17/2 + The Algarve 0.5pt EW 100/1 4 places B365 (430 Epsom) – Aiden O Brien is no stranger to winning this race and has done it with his unfancied horses on more than one occasion. Tuesday 7/1 probably rates his main threat to the favourite and fits the bill in terms of being a Galileo filly stepping up to this trip for the first time like 4 of the yards previous winners of this race. The other selection could not go with the favourite Emily Upjohn in the Musidora at York and was comprehensively beaten that day. However many of this yards runners often need a first race and she could come on plenty for that race today.

Daiquiri 1pt win only 4/1 (751 Doncaster) – Has shown plenty of promise on both outings this term and is open to improvement here on handicap debut. Upped in trip which looks likely to suit and the form of the last couple of races is working out pretty nicely. Yard do well with their youngsters and they are profitable to follow here off a 27% strike rate in the last 5 years.

Keepers Choice 1pt win only 11/2 (730 Bath) – 3 wins and 2 places from 10 runs over CD and only 3lb above that last win here at this time last year. Should be fitter for his latest reappearance run and will enjoy being back here with conditions to suit from what looks a plum draw.

Suanni 1pt win only 15/2 (620 Bath) – Gelded since last run so much will depend on how he settles after that procedure. Comes here dropping in grade and having been eased slightly at the weight however and given the yards current form can be expected to go well. Has won at the track previously but that was over the extended 5f so todays race will be much sharper which we think will be ok.

Jersey 1pt win only 15/2 (355 Huntingdon) – Not been seen since falling on handicap debut 158 days ago but still holds plenty of potential from this mark for the very much in form yard of Dan Skelton. The yards sole runner on the card today and they will be looking to add to their tally of 6 winners from 12 runners in the last 14 days.

Nurseclaire 1pt win only 15/2 (445 Catterick) – Well held on stable debut and has been off the track for 158 days since that run. Had previously shown plenty for Richard Fahey and is one that still hold lots of potential now going handicapping for the first time. Kieron O Neill in the saddle rates a big positive with his record here over the last 5 years sitting at 5 wins from just 14 runs for a 36% strike. Yard are having a decent season and have been amongst the winners in the last couple of weeks.

Captain Howse 1pt win only 6/1 (840 bath) – Sir Mark Prescott has won this race on both occasions where he has had a runner line up. He has done so with runners that have stepped up markedly in trip on each occasion and that is the case for his runner here today. His winner last year was out of the Dam Australia as is the selection this time around. Blinkers on for the first time and needs to be taken seriously. Copperplate rates the main danger, well bred and will be crying out for this longer trip so i would not put anyone off covering the bet with a reverse forecast.
