Saturday’s Selections from #Chester #Newmarket #Newcastle

The latest selections

Mancini 0.5pt EW 18/1 4 places Skybet – Back down in grade to a class 4 for the first time since last summer when he was narrowly denied here at Chester over the longer trip of 2 miles. That run was from a mark of 87 and he goes today from 76 some 11lb lower. He has won over this shorter trip before and cannot be dismissed given his connections and the fact that they won this race last year. He will face stiff competition from a couple of the 3yo’s today but none of them look quite as well treated as the selection should he bounce back today.

Jack The Truth 1pt win only 12/1 (445 Chester) – Has gone well fresh in the past and has now dropped to a very interesting mark returning from a stint overseas. Well drawn for one that likes to track the pace and has to hold excellent chances here today. Possibly better on the AW but today’s ground looks ideal for a run on turf.

Indigo Times 0.5pt EW 25/1 (520 Chester) – Can bounce back from a poor run on yard debut last time out, was in need of the run that day and the shorter 12f trip was not one that suited either. Headgear that was applied has been quickly discarded and a better run can be expected. Selection is 3 wins and 2 placed from 7 runs at todays trip, gets pretty much ideal conditions and takes a decent drop in grade from a falling mark. Lots to like about one from a shrewd yard.

Ghost Rider 1pt win only 6/1 (115 Newcastle) – Course winner who holds plenty of potential upped in trip here today. Often slow to start and finishes his races off well and could well be crying out for this longer trip. Has been gelded and wears a visor for the first time and does not look fully exposed yet for a top new yard.

Multiple

0.5pt EW 5 fold on all 5 selections – 1pt

0.25pt Trixie on all 3 win selections – 1pt

Specials/Offer

Believing £10 win only 7/1 SkyBet money back as cash if 2nd, 3rd or 4th (205 Newmarket) – Its very hard to look beyond Richard Hannons record in this race and we were very taken with his selection at Salisbury when in attendance that day. Won out of sight and didn’t really get into top gear that day so likely there is much more to come. Very difficult to say what she beat that day and this looks to be a much tougher assignment so at the prices we are willing to take her on with one who won in decent style last time out despite having a nightmare getting out of the stalls and giving away 10 lengths at the start. Again didn’t appear to beat much that day but showed a good attitude to get her head in front and has another decent looking piece of form on offer from her debut run.

Running total – +£30.00

Bets with no stake returned – 12

Bets Placed – 26
