Kym Eyre 1pt win only 12/1 (355 Ffos Las) – Ran well enough switched to these bigger obstacles last time out when not given a hard time and is of more interest today stepped up in trip. Looks to be crying out for this extra yardage and could well improve markedly today. Might want a little more give in the ground however but hopefully that won’t be a deciding factor.
Puddlesinthepark 1pt win only 8/1 (245 Ffos Las) – Enters handicap company today for the first time from what looks to be a fair mark. Gets a much needed step up in trip for this handicap debut and we ought to see some improvement on his runs to date.
Copper Cove 1pt win only 14/1 (430 Ffos Las) – Quickly switched to handicaps following a very pleasing run in a race that looks to be holding a good level of form. Still learning and could show further improvement today. Not been found the easiest of opportunities but is priced accordingly and offers excellent value.
Ironic Rock 1pt win only 16/1 (505 Ffos Las) – Took a heavy fall last year over CD when looking likely to run into a place. That race looked to hold a fair level of form much higher than what we see today. Has moved yards and returned from almost a year off the track with a tame effort at Uttoxeter. That race looked a little explorative and the yard would have been fairly pleased given it was at a much shorter trip than ideal. Will be much fitter coming here with the yard bang in form and looks to have been found a decent chance to bounce back.
Wye Aye 1pt win only 16/1 (410 Huntingdon) – Has been running well over the bigger obstacles but has looked to be a little exposed of late. Switches back to hurdles here and is far less exposed from a lower mark and would not be without chance for a yard and connections that do well at the track. Yard are 5 from 16 for a 31% strike here in the last 5 years with a LSP of +48 and connections are 2 wins and 2 placed from 5 when coming here.
