Turners Novices’ Chase
Appreciate It £10 or 2pt win only 10/3 (Virgin Bet money back offer) – Its very difficult to look past Mighty Potter here but with the money back offer we have decided to take him on with one that could be a match for him in these conditions. Willie Mullins has won this race no less that 4 times in its last 12 running’s so he certainly knows what it takes to ready one for it. The selection ran into El Fabiolo last time out and was not disgraced on ground that was possibly a little too quick. Today’s test over slightly further in these conditions could unlock something that we haven’t seen yet so we take the chance on this 2021 Supreme Novice winner.

Risk And Roll 0.5pt EW 80/1 (8 places Skybet) – Has some pretty close form in here with a few runners at far shorter prices and meets with most of them on far better terms. Has been eased slightly in the weights here and will not be put off by todays conditions. Has also placed over CD previously and is a wildcard with a decent chance of running into one of the 8 places on offer here.

Janidil 1pt win only 6/1 – Runner up in this race last year albeit a little fortunate with Conflated having fallen late on leaving him in that position. Will be one of only a few here that will enjoy the conditions being testing and has been given a much more considered prep this year with the stable star Allaho being ruled out from defending his crown. Willie Mullins has won this race 5 times in the last 7 years and he will have this one chomping at the bit today.

Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle
Blazing Khal 1pt win only 4/1 – One from our 50 to Follow who has long been touted for this race and ought to give a good run for your money today. Much has been made about him only having 1 run before coming into this but the yard have somewhat had him wrapped in cotton wool having had a few problems. Proved he was as good as ever on his return when defying a penalty and coming home strong in the Boyne Hurdle and will take some pegging back if on song today.

Mars Harper 0.5pt EW 28/1 (7 places Skybet) + Born By The Sea 0.5pt EW 80/1 (7 places skybet) – Mars Harper was runner up behind Mighty Potter on chase debut and has been consistent in defeat since. Latest run was a pleasing one and i have a feeling a little might have been left up the sleeve for a run here. Born By The Sea ticks a lot of boxes for a race like this and could be one that has slipped under the radar here. Was well beaten in this race last year and has been inconsistent of late but is weighted to go close under today’s 7lb claimer so a chance is taken.

Luccia 1pt win only 9/2 (Antepost) + Luccia/Lot Of Joy 0.5pt reverse forecast – Another from the 50 To Follow that has been layed out for quite some time. She is unbeaten and has taken care of her opposition to date in taking fashion. Travels well through her races and jumps well. A very exciting prospect that will take all the beating. Lot Of Joy from the Willie Mullins stable will rate the main danger with the yard having won this race on 5 of its 7 runnings.
