The latest selections
My Macho Man 0.5pt EW 20/1 (410 Ayr) – Back on the flat for the first time in almost 3 years having been on a long losing run over hurdles, has been consistent and has put in a few respectable efforts over the obstacles and will not be without hope in a very weak looking race here today. Still very unexposed in this sphere and ought to be capable of outrunning these odds from this mark.
The Cola Kid 0.5pt EW 25/1 4 places (245 Salisbury) – Runner up over CD this time last year but has fallen a long way in the weights having not been in the same form since. His last run 135 days ago was a little more encouraging and this switch back to turf today from effectively a16lb lower mark than the aforementioned run could be just what the doctor ordered.
Zyra’s Lioness 0.5pt EW 20/1 (455 Salisbury) – Yet to get his head in front in 14 starts but still looks very unexposed here switched back to the flat from a basement mark. His best efforts to date have come in the hands of todays jockey and the yard has a much improved record on the flat over the last 12 months with a 20% strike rate and a healthy LSP of +44. These connections have only had 2 runners here with 1 winner and 1 placed. The winner was from this yard.
Yazaman 1pt win only 13/2 (430 Redcar) – Runner up in the G2 Richmond stakes as a 2 year old and once rated 106 highly rated prospect. Clearly something has been amiss since and now finds himself with his 4th trainer and going from a mark of 58. Latest run on yard debut offered some hope that he could take a race of this magnitude and looks one who could go on a roll once gaining back his confidence. Yard do very well with these sprinters and this one is still unexposed over this minimum trip.
