Langley Hundred 0.5pt EW 18/1 (4 places B365) – Made a very promising start over the bigger obstacles back in November but has failed to build on that in 3 starts since. Has had wind surgery since his last race however so a chance is taken that will put him back to his best and if that is the case then he will be a good 8-10lb well in here off the back of that Ludlow race which has worked out well. The yard are 6 wins and 3 placed from 20 runners in the last 12 months for a 30% win strike and a 45% place strike with a LSP of +20 which offers further encouragement.

Electric Eddy 1pt win only 5/1 – Joined the yard following 3 underwhelming runs over in Ireland and has run with credit in both starts for his new connections. Was a comfortably beaten 4th on yard debut at Exeter in a race where all 3 who finished ahead of him that day going on to win again next time out. Has since run well again in a race that is starting to show signs of decent form and is taken to go closer still here today. Has eased in the weights and gets a further 3lb taken off by Finn Lambert today which makes him look of more interest. Bred for these quicker conditions too.

Miss Marette 1pt win only 16/1 – Has clearly not been straightforward having run only 5 times in almost 2 years and has been inconsistent over that period. Has a couple of runs in there however that prove the ability is there and should she turn up today in the right mood will go close at a good price. Latest race can be forgiven as it was off the back of a wind op and almost certainly on much deeper ground than preferred. Well that wont be the case today and with Bryan Carver back in the saddle who rode her for her sole win to date an improved performance can be expected.
