Spirit D’Aunon 1pt win only 10/1 – Won 5 of his first 6 starts under rules but has lost some momentum since the last of those wins at Sandown last December. His best piece of form since then came when upped in trip at Aintree back in April where he finished a very respectable 5th in a class 1 handicap. The form from that race has been backed up on many occasions since and if the selection is able to rediscover that sort of form will go close today. Dropping back in grade, back up in trip, a very valuable 5lb claimer on board and a falling mark should help to get this one back on track today.

Sky Bet Super Week Supersized Handicap Chase
Ocean Legacy 1pt win only 8/1 – A remote 3rd on yard debut was followed up with a very lacklustre run last time out and something more needs to be seen today. There were signs in both races however that this one is capable at this level and he may well have been found a soft opening here today in what looks a poor race. Has been freshened up before this race which seems to be something that works in the past and now runs off of a mark that he has shown ability from for previous yard. Has to be capable of better and gets ideal conditions too.

Sky Bet Extra Places Every Day Handicap Hurdle
Hourless 1pt win only 14/1 – Has run pretty freely in last two outings and will need to settle here today if he is going to get this slightly longer trip. That said there is enough on the dams sire side to suggest that he will have the stamina for this trip. Was still going well enough when unseating on his seasonal reappearance to suggest he would have finish placed or better and last run was a decent one in a better grade of race. So back down in grade from an easing mark we could see this one go close under ideal conditions today. Yard do well at this time of year so has to be respected.

Leicestershire Silver Fox Handicap Chase
Invincible Nao 1pt win only 9/2 – Has some pretty convincing form in the book including when runner up in a class 1 novice chase at Sandown last season which has worked out well since. Should be fitter for his recent reappearance and on last years form looks very well treated still. Interestingly the yard have a few good runners over at Newbury today yet yard jockey C Quinn opts to come here for just this one ride.
