Chancellorstown 1pt win only 10/1 – Went close 2 runs back when stepped up to 3 miles for the first time and despite not being able to follow that up last time out is certainly worth another try back up in trip with conditions in favour. Will need the headgear to have the desired effect to beat the CD winning favourite but she doesn’t look an obvious sort to follow up and the change of jockey and extra 7lb here today will give that one more to think about so she is worth taking on at these odds.

Sky Bet Extra Places Every Day Handicap Chase
Noah’s Light 0.5pt EW 33/1 (4 places B365) – Pulled up on last two outings and runs today from 4lb out of the handicap but has on a going day shown that he is more than capable at this level. Runner up from 4lb higher than today’s mark at Plumpton back in September albeit beaten 21 lengths that day but finished ahead of one that has won 3 times since. Won comfortably over this trip at Newton Abbot back in July and has perfect conditions so a chance is taken that he will be in the mood today. Beaten just a neck over CD by Kankin back in May going from 6lb out of the handicap and reopposes today some 9lb better off with that rival. Just needs to be in the mood but has few other excuses.

Fitzdares Great Park Handicap Chase
Etalon 1pt win only 13/2 – The Skelton’s come into this race mob handed and this one is the pick of the rides judged on the fact that Harry gets on board here. Recent runs have left a little bit to be desired but the 3 wins on the bounce last season tell us that this one still has plenty to offer and has clearly not been firing on all cylinders. Has edged back down the weights slightly and gets a bit of give under foot today which looks a must and comes here having blown away the cobwebs and with the yard just starting to get going.

Weatherbys Racing Bank Handicap Hurdle
Git Maker 1pt win only 17/2 – Very progressive chaser last term finishing placed in both the Kim Muir at Cheltenham and the Ayr Scottish Grand National. Now there is a chance that the return to hurdles here could be to protect his Chasing mark for another day and he does in fact have a valuable entry over fences next week at Doncaster. However he is very unexposed over hurdles and is allowed to run from a 6lb lower mark over these smaller obstacles so they could well be here to take advantage of that. Yard are bang in form with 4/10 for a 40% strike in the last 14 days and they can build on that today. Returns from 274 days off the track but goes well fresh and is potentially well ahead of the handicapper over this trip today back hurdling.

Fitzdares Windsor Stayers Handicap Chase
Not Sure 1pt win only 6/1 – Will need to have come on for last months very low key reappearance but will have everything needed to do so today. Stays extremely well and has fallen to a very attractive mark, a mark which he was a comfortable winner from at the beginning of last season. Acquitted himself very well in decent company in a couple of stayers races last term and this looks a very realistic target for one that still looks lightly raced for his years.
