16:15 Ascot 17 Oct 2020

Balmoral Handicap

King Ottokar (1pt win only 7/1)

Showed plenty of promise last year and took a step back in the right direction when 5th behind a decent sort last time out. Less exposed than some of these and has a great draw here today. Yard are in fine form and enjoy plenty of success here too with a 22% strike and +50 LSP in the last 12 months. Eased another couple of pounds and has conditions to suit. Should be thereabouts and finishing fast against a tired field late one.

16:03 Stratford 17 Oct 2020

Early Happy Birthday Kian Burley Handicap Chase

Running Wolf (0.5Pt Ew 18/1 4 places Will Hill)

Not the most reliable of characters but one that has fallen to a very workable mark for this shrewd outfit. Best on this sort of ground at around this trip so has no excuses today from a mark that is 11lb below his last winning one. Not been quite up to that mark this term but showed plenty of signs that some ability is retained when 3rd at Southwell under todays jockey back in July. Yard are 3 wins and 2 placed from just 9 here in the last 12 months.

15:10 Catterick 17 Oct 2020

William Hill Lengthen yourodds Veterans’ Handicap

Redrosezorro (1pt win only 6/1)

See Below

16:50 Catterick 17 Oct 2020

William Hill Play Responsibly Handicap

Captain Jameson (1pt win only 8/1)

Course winner who has placed over CD before. Dangerously well weighted for crafty connections coming here with conditions in favour today. Connections also run two in the previous race Autumn War and Je Suis Charlie (420) and it will be worth seeing if any money comes for either.

16:55 Wolverhampton 17 Oct 2020

Black Country Chamber Of Commerce Handicap

Greek Oasis (1pt win only 11/2)

Still a maiden afer 7 runs but is a tryer nonetheless. Drops quite markedly in trip on tapeta debut for a yard going quite well of late and is their only runner on the card here at Wolverhampton. Jack Mitchell takes the ride and he has an astonishing 29% strike at the track in the last 12 months from 98 runners with 28 wins and 23 place efforts. Jack also rides Military Man 7/2 (600), Arietta 4/1 (630) and Approach the City 10/1 (830)

Stand Out Stats

J Tuite 3 wins from just 7 runners all time at Catterick for a 42% strike and sends just one today for the opener. (Red Fescue 9/1 – 200Catt)

Redrosezorro 6/1 (310Catt) 5 wins and 5 placed from 13 runs at Catterick and is 6 wins and 5 placed from 18 on similar going. Still looks to be on the upgrade and worth a try in veteran company for the first time eased back down a couple of pounds. Yard are 4 wins 1 placed from 8 (50%) here this term (2 of those wins from this horse)

Jack Mitchell 28 wins and 23 placed from 98 at Wolverhampton in the last 12 months rides 4 tonight.

Greek Oasis 11/2(455), Military Man 7/2(600), Arietta 4/1(630), Approach the City 10/1(830) – (0.1pt lucky 15 – 1.5pt Total)

Oct Total –  +3.5PTS

Oct Selections – 32

Oct ROI – 10.93%
