Stepping up in trip again here on handicap debut and that should only play to her strengths today.
Ad Infinitum 1pt win only 11/1 (215 Goodwood) – A soft ground winner over CD on her reappearance last term and finished off last term with a very good 4th in a Newmarket Group 3 event. Very lightly raced and open to plenty of improvement this term. Hopefully she will be ready to roll again this year and will give these boys something to think about from the bottom of the weights.
Cold Stare 1pt win only 10/1 (455 Haydock) – Now sits just 1lb higher than his last winning mark and is of interest again returning to Haydock where he has 3 wins with 2 of those coming over CD. Drops in grade today in to what looks a more realistic target and the rains this week should have put just enough juice back in the ground for us to see this one at his best.
Hayadh 1pt win only 13/2 (338 Musselburgh) – Almost certain to have needed his reappearance run for his new yard last month and went through the motions well enough to suggest that a big run could be on the cards today. Yard are starting to find some form and this one has 2 wins and 2 placed efforts at the track which is a big positive today. Conditions look ideal as does todays trip and also looks fairly well treated on the pick of his form from last year.
Fiftyshadesaresdev 0.5pt EW 50/1 6 places Skybet – The case for this one is being made on his best 2 year old form, which if he is able to rediscover puts him right in the mix from todays reduced mark. A respectable 4th on reappearance which should put him about right for a better run here today. Back down in trip which looks to be a positive and could still have plenty more to offer in this sphere given how unexposed he still is.
Musicality 0.5 pt EW 40/1 6 places Skybet – The second runner on the card for M Hammond and Joanna Mason. This one is making his yard debut having switched from Roger Varian. Dual winner for that yard but comes here on the back of a 7 month lay off. Will have something to prove over todays trip too but comes here from a much reduced mark and this target doesn’t look an overly harsh one today.
