Vivency 1pt win only 9/1 (455 Chelmsford) – New yard are slowly getting to grips with this tricky mare and she looks set to get her head in front in the near future. Will that be today ? Well Connor Beasley takes over in the saddle for the in form J Mackie and that is about as positive a sign as you could hope for given his 30% strike for the yard in the last 12 months. Has been eased a further 2lb and now sits 14lb below her handicap debut winning mark.
Cassamari Abbey 0.5pt EW 33/1 4 places Corals (135 Market Rasen) – Very well backed and withdrawn when selected on Tuesday up at Hexham. Entered here in a very similar race and our guess is that conditions will be more suitable here today with the rain coming overnight. Yet to fire for current yard but won a handicap over in Ireland from 11lb higher so looks well treated on best form and has had a wind op which could well put him right here. Was not given too hard a time of it last time out on a first run for 110 days following the wind op and should go much better here. Drop back in trip should cause no worries and the added bonus of a decent 5lb claim can do no harm.
Amaretti Virginia 1pt win only 15/2 (540 Sandown) – Expensive and well related purchase who performed well enough on debut to suggest that there is a promising future ahead. Was up against the boys on possibly not an ideal surface for her debut and could show bounds of improvement turned out quickly today.
Crackling 0.5pt EW 33/1 4 places Corals (500 Wolverhampton) – Was far more encouraging last time out when upped in trip for the first time over CD and that offers enough hope for us to get involved here from a 3lb lower mark with 4 places on offer. Has run with credit more often than not when seen here despite bare results and will get his head in front sooner or later with his mark plummeting.
