Nap: Safran 1pt win only 10/1 (715 Ripon) – Largely inconsistent since joining this yard but on a going day certainly has enough to get involved from this mark. Couple of very decent runs from a much higher mark last summer over CD offers plenty of encouragement. Has to overcome the wide stall of 10 but is versatile as to how he can be ridden so hopefully that will be no issue. Yard have won 2 of the last 3 running’s of the race and have to be taken seriously again here.
NB: Circolocco 0.5pt EW 16/1 4 Places Skybet (845 Ripon) – Lightly raced and still very much learning her trade. Shaped encouragingly well last time out at Doncaster in behind the short priced favourite Golden Duke and will be open to plenty of improvement re opposing here from a 3lb better mark.
IWAC: Abel Handy 1pt win only 11/1 (225 Ayr) – Last of 9 when last seen and has plenty to prove coming in here. Had previously made a decent return to action which offers something to work with here having been freshened up. Mark has fallen to an all time low and this once Group 3 winning 2yo now sits 23lb below his last winning mark albeit 14 runs ago.
Monty’s Award 0.5pt EW 33/1 (505 Worcester) – One from the tracker who looked to benefit for a return to these smaller obstacles last time out and should give a good account once more. Eased a couple of pounds and very dangerous from a big price if able to build on that run.
