Blenheim Boy 7/1 Win Only – Slightly disappointing at the Royal meeting here back in June but was on the wrong side of the draw that day so excuses can be made. Was far more encouraging last time out in a hot race at York and shaped as though this longer trip today could bring about a little improvement. Sits in good hands for one that will clearly need playing late and will no doubt get the signature Jamie Spencer ride today.

Divine Magic 9/2 Win Only – In form filly who was only narrowly denied last time out despite conceding first run. Well worth another try here over this sharp 7f over which she will be very well suited. Has gotten better with every start this term and further improvement could not be ruled out here today.

Dubai Station 16/1 EW 4 Places – Down the field in the Wokingham here at the Royal meeting and could only manage 5th last time out at Chelmsford. He has weakened late on in both of these runs over 6f and looks of more interest now back down to this minimum trip. The yards record in this race is a good one, they have won it 3 times since 2010, each time with a 5 year old having had a run in the last 14 days so the selection rates the pick of his 3 here in this race.

Going Gone 10/1 Win Only – Very disappointing last time out but was a good 4th of 19 previously over the longer trip of 20f here at the Royal Meeting. That run has him ahead of many of his rivals today and a big run can be expected. Drop in trip should be no problem and has won over similar trips. Also looks to get ideal conditions here.

The Whipmaster 7/2 Win Only – Outstayed by a very classy looking sort when going for a five timer over CD last time out but was a massive 14 lengths clear of 3rd place. Has only gone up 1lb for that run and looks sure to be in the mix again here. In form and lost nothing in defeat.

Shelir 14/1 EW 4 Places – Very good handicapper who looked in need of the run last time out over 7f. Often comes on for his reappearance and the step back up to a mile here will be a big plus too. Most of his best work has come over this trip and despite his last win coming on soft ground he does act on this quicker surface. Can however find one too good hence the EW stakes and today that one could come in the form of Frankie Dettori’s mount Isla Kai

Approachability 8/1 Win Only – We have been behind this one for a win all season and he is fast becoming our cliff horse. Drops in grade here slightly and eased a little in the weights too and has to hold excellent chances of getting his head in front in the hands of Hayley Turner who is a name to be reckoned with at this unique meeting. Trainer Mark Johnston has won the last two runnings of the race and also saddles Sharp Combo. A race where we could see a 1,2,3 for the Ladies team.

Tolstoy 12/1 Win Only – Lightly raced and still unexposed it would appear and one who it could way pay to follow having his first run for new yard. Joined the yard from John Gosden and is a well bred sort who if coping with this fast ground today, doesn’t look harshly treated. Produced a career best last time out at Chelmsford which is often a good pointer track for Ascot and was far from disgraced in the Coventry here as a 2 year old so plenty to like.
