Sky Bet Sunday Apprentice Training Series Handicap

The Thin Blue Line 10/1 Win Only – Very consistent performer who had no luck whatsoever last time out and still managed to finish just a couple of lengths back in midfield. Takes a small drop in class here today and has an ideal draw in 13 to take this race by the scruff of the neck and should be on the premise once again.

Sky Bet Sunday Series Newcomers’ EBF Maiden Stakes

Centrestage 33/1 EW 4 places B365 – Half brother to the very smart performer Solid Stone who will probably need further in time given his breeding. He is not without speed in the bloodline however having been Sired by G2 winning Showcasing so it would be no surprise should this one grab a place late on from a near perfect draw.

Sky Bet Sunday Series Sprint Handicap

Showtime Mahomes 11/1 Win Only – Has come up short on his last two outings but had been pitched right in at the deep end on both occasions following what looks like a pretty strong piece of form from his win at York. Eases back down the weights slightly and has been given time to get over those runs and comes here with a decent chance of getting back on track for last years winning stable. His win at York has worked out pretty well and there could be more to come from this one.

Sky Bet Sunday Series Middle Distance Handicap

Lady Caroline 25/1 EW 5places B365 – Below par in two runs this term and given a break following that disappointment. Oddly stepped up in trip here which is not an obvious positive on breeding but must be showing something at home for them to take a tilt here. Yard only sends one runner today and their record here is pretty decent. Ben Curtis is a big plus in the saddle and we take a chance on this Wildcard selection. Anythingtoday 33/1 could also get back on track from a very big price.

Sky Bet Sunday Series Nursery

There’s The Door 9/1 Win Only – A winner over CD for the in form David Evans last time out in a race that has produced a decent handicap winner since. This opening mark looks pretty fair judged on that evidence and should give another good account here. Got up in the dying strides last time out but still looked to have plenty in hand making this mark look even more lenient today.
