Sunday Selections from #Epsom #FfosLas #Yarmouth

The latest selections

Iwac: Winklevi 1pt win only 16/1 (350 Ffos Las) – Been very hit and miss of late and will need to improve on recent form. As a result however he now sits 11lb below his last winning mark and it wouldn’t take much to spark a revival. Yard is a shrewd one and they have a 25% strike here in the last 12 months.

Outsider: Twilight Prince 1pt win only 22/1 (423 Ffos Las) – Still a maiden after 13 runs but has pieces of form in the book that suggest he could get involved at a price here today. Now 3lb lower than his best run at Bath in June when only narrowly denied. First time cheekpieces applied and hopefully they will help to focus him in putting his best foot forward today.

Nap: V Twelve 1pt win only 8/1 (455 Ffos Las) – Has made pleasing progress in 3 runs so far and ought to have something to offer here on handicap debut. His latest run was in a race that is starting to work out pretty well and despite being a well beaten 3rd that day he had put enough daylight between him and the rest of the field to suggest that today’s opening mark is very workable.

Nb: Kit Gabriel 1pt win only 12/1 (505 Epsom) – A clearly talented but tricky sort who has been very hard to catch right. When seen running up to his best is easily capable of taking a race like this and we are hoping the addition of the blinkers today can help focus his efforts. Was very disappointing last time out but had previously run a big race in second having been gelded.

Churchill Rose 1pt win only 14/1 (259 Yarmouth) – Appealing pedigree and related to some fairly useful sorts, most notably Carnachy. Dam was also pretty decent and a winner up to 1 mile from marks of 90+. Yard does well enough with their 2 year old’s and a bold bid can be expected. Hood on for first run, any support would be encouraging.
