Symbol Of Hope 1pt win only 10/1 – A 3 times CD winner for his previous yard and his new trainer is no stranger to a winner around here either. Yard debut was slightly underwhelming but may well have needed the outing and now sits 9lb below his career best effort here last August. Acts on ground with some give and will get that here too. Yard have a 20% strike here in the last 12 months which offers further encouragement.

Devore 0.5pt EW 20/1 (4 places B365) – Needs to stage a revival and that could come here with the switch back to turf and a little bit of give under foot. A handicap winner over in Ireland for his previous yard from 14lb higher and has a placed effort on soft at the Curragh from this time last year from a whopping 20lb higher. Something needs to click however but at this price with 4 places available we are happy to take the plunge.

Able Kane 1pt win only 14/1 – Possible better over the slightly longer trip of 7f but drops into a class 4 for the first time in almost 3 years. Won a class 3 race from 1lb higher last June and seems to do all of his best work on softer ground. Has plenty of form over this trip and this race could be set up nicely for one who will definitely not be stopping at the business end. Was far from disgraced in a much better race on reappearance and fingers crossed that he doesn’t get too far outpaced, which i feel will be unlikely given how this one runs his races from the front.

Yard have them going well at present and a very valuable 5lb is taken off by the very talented Brandon Wilkie. Placed on his only visit here, has a 31% strike on a surface that is soft-heavy, has won or placed in 50% of his runs over this trip so has plenty in his favour here.

Original Thinker 1pt win only 6/1 – Yard did not quite get to grips with this one last term after joining from the Gosden’s but he made a pleasing return to action 10 days ago when encountering soft ground for the first time. Just run out of steam at the business end and should fare better here now with that run under his belt and the yard hitting a rich vein of form at present. Joe Fanning takes the ride again and he is 4 wins and 3 placed from 11 for the yard with a LSP of +36.

Rose’aid 1pt win only 10/1 – A big leap of faith is being taken given this ones last run on handicap debut but she is a well bred filly with a pedigree that ought to appreciate this switch to turf. Has an eye catching piece of form at Southwell when 3rd behind a subsequent winner of J Tates who was a comfortable winner under a penalty next time out. A reproduction of that run would make a complete mockery of this mark so fingers are firmly crossed that last run was a blip. Yard have had 3 winners from their last 7 runners so come here in fine form.
