Shaped well on first start for new yard since coming across from Ireland and was a good staying on 3rd to one who has a form line with a few of the market principals in this race. That run was his first in almost a year so will be entitled to come on for that and holds excellent chance if in the same form off the same mark. Could be a few pound well in here by our calculations. Thirsty Farmer is a danger if able to get this longer trip and we wouldn’t put anyone off a small EW on bottom weight Simply Lucky at 80/1 with 4 places available.

Made a comfortable winning start for new yard when sent over to France, that win came over similar trip in Heavy ground. Was sent to Cheltenham following that over the Cross Country Course and again performed with credit. Has his sights are lowered considerably from that run and could still be well handicapped returning to class 4 company. Yard do well here and have a record of 4 wins and 3 placed from 11 for a 36% strike. W Kennedy is 3 from 6 for the yard for a 50% strike and loves it here at Catterick.

Wide open running of a race that normally goes to the favourite. This years renewal lacks any of the bigger yards that normally send in those favoured runners and a chance is taken on one from the Mulholland yard who goes for family connections. Has an entry tomorrow at the yards favoured track of Fakenham so interesting that they come here instead. Showed plenty of promise in 3 bumper races but was slightly disappointing on hurdles debut so will need to bounce back, but may have been found a race here.

Narrowly denied in the Glenfarclas Cross Country race at Cheltenham last month pulling well clear of 3rd place. Has gone up 6lb for that run but possibly still has a little in hand as that run came following a 403 day lay off when making yard debut for the team that won this race in 2017. Will stay and get this ground if this race hasn’t come too soon for him
