Fair hurdler who looked in need of the run last time out returning from 10 months off the track. Reverts to the bigger obstacles here for the first time from what looks a pretty fair mark. Hails from a yard that does much better with their chasers than other spheres so better can possibly be expected too. Connections are 4 wins and 1 placed from 7 when sending a runner here so no forlorn hope as the market would suggest.

Put in two good efforts this term following wind surgery in races that have worked out since putting this current mark very much thereabouts. Dropped in trip at Southwell last time out which halted the progression a little and steps straight back up here with conditions in favour. Yard have a great record here with just over 50 winners and a strike in the realms of 25% and an LSP of +55. Bryony Frost hangs on to the ride and she is 7 wins and 8 placed from 30 for the yard too.

Not really given a hard time on chase debut running for the first time in 269 days and had to give weight to some pretty good opposition that day. Form of that race is well above average and despite finishing a distant 4th of 7 has to be taken more seriously here in this company. Steps up slightly in trip on handicap debut over fences but there should be plenty more to come from this pretty pricey points recruit with that run under his belt.

Still holds bags of potential in this sphere despite finishing tailed of on his first two starts over fences. Bred for these marathon trips and will have no problem with the sticky conditions. Eased 5lb from last run and gets a further 5 taken off for the talented Fergus Gillard’s claim which makes him very dangerous here. Fergus has a 21% strike riding for the yard who also do well here with a 42% strike in the last 5 years. They are in great form too with 3 winners from their last 8 runners.
