Scriptwriter 1pt win only 15/2 – Progressive sort who has taken well to hurdles since switching from Aiden O Brien with the exception of his rather awkward looking run in the Adonis. Ought to be capable of better judged on previous runs and could well put that run behind him here for last years winning trainer. His 3 wins for this yard have come on a left handed track and reverts back to that here having looked out of sorts at Kempton. Yard have a decent record at the track and Harry Cobden takes over in the saddle and they are always noteworthy when teaming up.

Magic Saint 1pt win only 12/1 – A smart performer who readily put to bed an ordinary field at Wincanton last time out. Has raced well above this level in the past couple of years and despite not running to that level this term could still be capable of more given the heart that was shown last time out. Young Olive Nicholls is beginning to make a name for herself in this sphere and with the force of her Dad behind her could well become a force to be reckoned with.

Close Brothers Red Rum Handicap Chase
Dancing On My Own 1pt win only 15/2 – Lightly raced 9 year old who ran a cracking race to finish runner up in this race last term. Goes from a 3lb higher mark this time round but looks to have had a more considered prep having skipped Cheltenham to come straight here. Will need to show more than in his last couple of outings but its hard to believe that the yard wont have him ready for a big run here.
